The North Carolina Forest Service has lifted the statewide burn ban for controlled burns more than 100' from a structure, and will begin issuing permits for these burns again

The Clay County Fire Marshal has lifted the burn ban for controlled burns within 100' feet of a structure.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during the ban. As always please burn responsibly and please do not hesitate to call 911 if your controlled burn gets out of hand.
